Are these rates suitable for settlement or trading?

No — rates are indicative only, from aggregated market data + public reference rates. They are not bank-grade or for settlement. Disclosure text appears in every API response. Do not use for FX settlement, payment processing, or regulated trading.

What is a "daily reference" rate vs a "live" rate?

Daily reference rates come from official central-bank fix publications (ECB, FRED) and update once per business day. Live rates track intraday spot consensus and update on short intervals — they continue through weekends when ECB-sourced APIs are frozen.

What counts as a call?

Accepted Answer

One HTTP request = one call. The batch /convert POST counts as N calls where N is the number of conversion pairs. CSV/Parquet exports are metered by rows.

Can I downgrade or cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel instantly from the dashboard. Your key stays active until the end of the billing period. Annual plans are not refunded pro-rata, but downgrade takes effect immediately.

Do you name the upstream data source?

Accepted Answer

No — in keeping with our vendor-silent policy, we never name the live feed provider publicly. The source field in responses indicates "live", "ecb_daily", or "fred_daily" — enough to understand freshness without revealing the vendor.
